Archers Anarchists

The Archers are real - there is no cast!

Archers Anarchists are committed to the fight against castism. For the unisitiated, castism is the tendency to promote the cast of the Archers as if they are the characters themselves. As listeners we know everything about the characters including what they look like. The last thing we need is to see some freary impostors pretending to be our beloved or detested characters.

We are totally independent of the BBC, unlike our dreaded enemy the Archers Addicts (the "official" fan club which prides itself on being run "by the cast"). Archers Anarchists has several hundred subscribers who receive a twelve page, cast-free newsletter on an anarchically irregular basis. We hold periodic "Cast-Free" conventions.

In addition to opposing castism, we also favour the unpopular characters and oppose the cosy establishment figures in Ambridge. Although we reserve the right to change our position, the following are examples to indicate where we stand:
