Subject: Service termination Date: Wed, 24 Feb 1999 20:43:57 GMT From: support@bogo.co.uk Dear Subscriber It is with some sadness that I must inform you that the Bogomip and WEBPlus services will be terminating this week. Bogomip was set-up in 1995 to supply dial-up Internet access to the London area and quickly built a base of loyal customers. However, it is impossible to compete commercially in this market place with so many dial-up access services now being offered for free. To do so would mean a definite reduction in service levels and we are not prepared to reduce our standards. We will maintain a mail server for all of you using the bogo.co.uk and webplus.co.uk domains for as long as we can. During this time you will be able to access your mail from other providers by simply using the mail.bogo.co.uk mail server. We will also be keeping the virtual servers going so you can move your websites to other providers. The telephone technical support service will be stopped as of Monday 22nd February, though technical support will be available by e-mail at the usual addresses, support@bogo.co.uk and support@webplus.co.uk We would like to thank you all for your custom over the years and wish you happiness with you new (cheaper!) provider. BOGOMIP and WEBplus
